The Indian benchmark indices extended their opening gains today(26 April 2022) as global markets reversed losses and oil prices continued retreat.
The BSE Sensex rose 700 points to 57,260, while the NSE Nifty climbed 200 points to 17,150.
All Sensex shares were in green, barring Asian Paints and Tech M. HUL, Maruti, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Twins, M&M, Sun Pharma, Nestle, ITC and Axis Bank were the top gainers, rising up to 3 per cent.
In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices were also in the positive territory, up to 1.4 per cent higher.
