HDFC Ltd today reported a 16.4 percent year-on-year rise in net profit of ₹3,700 crores for the March quarter, Company had reported ₹3,180 crores in the year-ago period, which was above analysts' estimate of Rs 3,306.7 crore. The net interest income (NII) for the quarter stood at Rs 4,601 crore compared with Rs 4,027 crore in the previous year, representing a growth of 14 percent. The Board has recommended a dividend for the year ended March 31, 2022, of ₹30 per equity share. During the year ended March 2022, individual approvals and disbursements grew by 38 percent and 37 percent, respectively compared to the previous year. The average size of individual loans stood at Rs 33 lakh (compared to Rs 29.5 lakh last year). For the quarter ended March 31, 2022, the average loan size was Rs 34.7 lakh.
As of March 31, 2022, the assets under management (AUM) stood at ₹6.53 lakh crore as against ₹5.69 lakh crore in the previous year.
