The benchmark indices in India edged up in early deals today(3othJune 2021), amid largely positive cues from other Asian markets.
The S&P BSE Sensex gained 100 points at 52,650 levels and the broader Nifty50 index topped the 15,750-mark. Maruti Suzuki, Titan, and Tata Steel were the top Sensex gainers.
All the Nifty sectoral indices, barring Nifty Realty, traded in the green, led by the Nifty Metal index, up 0.75 percent.
In the broader markets, the S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices traded 0.2 percent and 0.5 percent higher, respectively.
More than 900 companies including SpiceJet, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, IRCON International, and Sadbhav Engineering are scheduled to release their quarterly earnings today.
