Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today(18th June 2020) briefed the media ahead of the launch of the Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan by the Prime Minister.
The FM said that state and central governments have worked together to identify districts that saw the highest reverse migration of workers during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Approximately 116 districts spread over 6 states have received migrants in large numbers, the minister informed the media in the briefing. In these 116 districts, both state and central governments have meticulously mapped their skills, she said.
