The Indian benchmark indices started trade fairly higher today(3rd March 2022) tracking firm global market cues after a day of huge sell-off. Though, soon after, the indices pared their opening gains and were modestly higher.
The BSE Sensex was up 200 points to 55,690 levels, while the NSE Nifty50 index was now up 60-odd points around 16,650 levels.
On the Sensex, IT stocks Tech M, Wipro, HCL Tech, and Infosys were the top gainers, up to 3 percent higher. On the downside, Asian Paints, Ultratech Cement, Kotak Bank, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank were the top losers.
