The Indian benchmark indices started the session on a muted note today (28 March 2022) amid feeble global cues. The BSE Sensex fell 34 points to 57,328, and the NSE Nifty50 slipped 17 points to 17,135 levels.
The top Sensex performers included Ultratech Cement, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Titan, Maruti, Wipro, HUL, and PowerGrid, which gained up to 1.1 percent. Cipla, Tata Consumer, Bajaj Auto, Indian Oil, and Grasim were the top Nifty winners.
On the other hand, HDFC twins, Kotak Bank, TCS, Dr. Reddy's, UPL, M&M, Nestle, Bajaj Finance, and HCL Tech were the biggest laggards, down between 0.4-1 percent.
