Indian equities picked pace today(10th August 2021), amid mixed global signals, propelled by gains in consumer durables, bank, and realty stocks.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex added 260 points, or 0.48 percent, to trade at 54,662 levels while the Nifty50 index was hovering above the 16,300-mark, up 60 points. In the broader market space, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices gained up to 0.2 percent.
More than 200 companies including Zomato, Coal India, Lupin, Power Grid Corporation of India, Ashoka Buildcon, Deepak Fertilisers, Eveready Industries, KIMS, Max Financial Services, Motherson Sumi Systems, and Whirlpool of India are slated to post their quarterly earnings today.
