The Indian equity markets opened with nominal gains today(6 July 2022) tracking subdued trade in other Asian markets.
The BSE Sensex rose 250 points to 53,400, and the NSE Nifty50 advanced 55 points to 15,865.
Asian Paints, L&T, Axis Bank, Bajaj twins, Kotak Bank, Maruti, Tech M, HUL, Ultratech Cement, and IndusInd Bank led gains on the Sensex, while Tata Steel, Nestle PowerGrid, NTPC, and ITC were the sole losers.
The broader markets also opened in green. The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices were up to 0.4 percent higher.
