Closing Bell: Sensex ends 194 points lower,Nifty at 18487.75

At the Close, Sensex finally ended with a loss of 194 points at 62,429. The NSE Nifty gave up the 18,500 level in late trades and settled at 18,488 – down 47 points. The top gainers on the Nifty 50 were Apollo Hospitals, Divis Lab, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, and Hero Motocorp while the losers were Coal India, Kotak Bank, Bharti Airtel, SBI Life, and HDFC Life. The BSE Midcap index was up 0.1 percent, while the Smallcap index added 0.6 percent. Nifty Financial Service fell 0.63% while Nifty Pharma jumped 1.06%, Nifty PSU Bank rose 0.59% and Nifty Realty surged 0.98%. Healthcare and IT stocks on the other hand are trading in the green.
